Whether you take to the water by power, sail or paddle, the pleasure we all derive
from boating is based on our enjoyment of the pristine waters and scenic shorelines.
To ensure that we have a clean and healthy environment for our enjoyment today and
for future generations, Ontario's marina operators are leading the way, voluntarily
joining the Clean Marine Program and following the operational practices mandated
by this ground-breaking environmental initiative.
Each marina is audited and given an Eco-Rating based on their environmental practices.
All aspects of marina operations including fueling, waste oil and paper recycling
must meet the program standards.
Crate's Lake Country Boats is a member of the Clean Marine Program and we are proud
to have achieved a "5 Anchor" Eco-Rating in our most recent audit from Greenleaf
Environmental Services. The Crate team is committed to constant improvement in our
environment practices; both through internal processes and also through education
of our customers.
To learn more about the program, please take a moment read the Clean Marine Factsheet
(see below). If you are a boater who wants to minimize your environmental impact
while boating, download the Clean Boater Handbook (see below). Together, we can
all make a difference in protecting the environment for generations to come!
